Individual Therapy (Adults & Adolescents)
The client works one on one with the therapist to explore and examine their thoughts, feelings and behaviors including the origin of these thoughts/feelings and behaviors and works with the therapist in identifying skills/solutions to resolve personal conflicts, personal growth issues and life stage difficulties.
Couples Therapy
In couples therapy the relationship is the focus of attention rather than the individual. The therapist works with the couple to identify conflict issues within the relationship and will help the couple identify what changes are needed in the relationship and in the behavior of each partner so that both partners feel satisfied in the relationship.
Family Therapy
In Family therapy the therapist works with the family as a system to nurture change and development. Family therapy recognizes family relationships as an important factor in psychological health. Family therapy avoids blaming one family member for a families distress and views the family as a system of interactions and patterns
Group Therapy
Group therapy provides an environment in which group participants receive feedback and support from both the therapist or facilitator as well as your peers. Groups also provide an environment for a shared experience. Groups may be open and spontaneous or focus on a specific topic with a more structured format.
Child Therapy
In Child Therapy the therapist works with the child to assist the child in expressing their experiences, feelings and problems. The therapist also assists the child in developing appropriate coping skills and behaviors. Often the therapist will use toys, sandplay or art supplies to assist the child in expressing feelings and experiences.
